INNSBRUCK WIRD WIEDER ZUM ZENTRUM DES JUNIOR-EISHOCKEYS

Im Frühjahr 2026 trifft sich die internationale Elite des Junior-Eishockeys erneut in Tirol: Die World Hockey Championships kehren nach Innsbruck zurück und machen die Alpenstadt einmal mehr zur Bühne für hochklassigen AAA-Hockeysport.

Von 15. April bis 12. Mai 2026 gehen Nachwuchsteams der Jahrgänge 2011 bis 2015 in der Olympiaworld Innsbruck aufs Eis. Erwartet werden Top-Clubs aus zahlreichen Nationen, die sich auf internationalem Niveau messen – intensiv, schnell und mit genau jener Leidenschaft, für die das Turnier seit seiner Premiere 2022 steht.

Was einst mit 30 Teams begann, ist längst zu einem Fixpunkt im internationalen Nachwuchskalender geworden: Nach Rekordbeteiligungen in den vergangenen Jahren setzt das Turnier seinen Wachstumskurs konsequent fort. Innsbruck, mit seiner einzigartigen Mischung aus alpiner Kulisse, sportlicher Geschichte und moderner Infrastruktur, bietet dafür den perfekten Rahmen.

Neben der sportlichen Qualität überzeugt das Event auch organisatorisch: Kurze Wege, professionelle Abläufe und eine Atmosphäre, die Spieler, Coaches und Fans gleichermaßen begeistert. INNSBRUCK RETURNS AS THE STAGE FOR ELITE JUNIOR HOCKEY

In spring 2026, international junior ice hockey once again takes center stage in the heart of the Alps. The World Hockey Championships return to Innsbruck, turning the Tyrolean capital into a global meeting point for elite AAA hockey.

From April 15 to May 12, 2026, top junior teams from the 2011 to 2015 birth years will compete at the Olympia World Innsbruck. Clubs from numerous countries are expected to take part, delivering high-intensity games, top-level competition, and the passion that has defined the tournament since its inaugural edition in 2022.

What started with 30 teams has rapidly grown into a key fixture on the international junior hockey calendar. Following record participation in recent years, the World Hockey Championships continue their strong upward trajectory. Innsbruck, with ist unique blend of alpine scenery, rich sporting history, and modern infrastructure, provides the perfect setting.

Beyond the action on the ice, the event stands out for its professional organization, compact venues, and an atmosphere that brings together players, coaches, and fans alike. The World Hockey Championships are not only about elite performance, but also about sportsmanship, cultural exchange, and unforgettable shared experiences.

Individual players without a team are also welcome: registered players will be assigned to teams in need of reinforcement ahead of the tournament, offering them the opportunity to be part of this international highlight.
