When it comes to outdoor facilities, the Olympiaworld is also one step ahead. Its outside areas offer lots of space for open air events, sport, games and fun under the open sky. Some of the outdoor spaces can be used free of charge. The extensive sport and recreation facilities also offer superb conditions for training camps or sports weeks for clubs, associations and schools.

Outdoor ice rink
The outdoor ice rink was renovated and extended in 2016. During the winter months Austria’s only outside speed-skating rink is used for ice skating competitions, recreational skating for the general public and for school groups. The outdoor rink is also used for training purposes by numerous ice hockey associations. In summer the area inside the oval is used, above all, for inline hockey. The outdoor rink area has served many times as a location for spectacular open air concerts (Pink, One Republic, Paolo Nutini and David Guetta, drive-in cinema among many others).

Ancillary football pitches
The artificial grass pitch (46 x 90 m), which was renewed in 2017, is freely accessible daily beween 8 am and 3 pm, Mon.-Fri., and can also be used as a training area by clubs. On weekends and public holidays, use is only possible outside of games and league operations (information / porter: +43 512 33838-100).
The grass pitch (64 x 100 m) serves as a training area exclusively for FC Wacker Innsbruck.
Both pitches have floodlighting.
Athletics facilities
The athletics facilities comprise a 400 m running track and a sprint track. The football pitch inside the running track offers a natural grass training field. The athletics grounds are equipped in accordance with the latest international standards, making them ideal for competitions including:
- Track events (sprint, hurdles and long-distance running)
- Jumping disciplines (long jump, high jump and pole vault)
- Throwing disciplines (javelin throw).
In addition, a basketball court has been installed in the north sector. The entire athletics track and field facility is equipped with floodlighting and speakers. The spectator stands in the western part are completely covered and offer space for approx. 500 spectators. The changing room building was constructed on top of the car park close the Wiesengasse bus stop. The entire facility is wheelchair accessible.
NB: The grass pitch inside the running track is reserved for the exclusive use of the FC Wacker Innsbruck. Playing football on this area without permission from TFV is not permitted.
Fun sport area
The Olympiaworld Innsbruck has three beach volleyball courts that can, if required, be transformed into a beach soccer pitch.
All the courts/pitches/areas can be reserved for events.

Toilets on the south side are accessible during opening hours.
The running track can, as a rule, be used free of charge and without reservation by anyone during opening hours. (Exception: when events, e.g. football matches, athletic meetings etc. are being held).
