Outdoor facilities

Space for open air events, sport, games and fun

When it comes to outdoor facilities, the Olympiaworld is also one step ahead. Its outside areas offer lots of space for open air events, sport, games and fun under the open sky. Some of the outdoor spaces can be used free of charge. The extensive sport and recreation facilities also offer superb conditions for training camps or sports weeks for clubs, associations and schools.

Outdoor ice rink
The outdoor ice rink was renovated and extended in 2016. During the winter months Austria’s only outside speed-skating rink is used for ice skating competitions, recreational skating for the general public and for school groups. The outdoor rink is also used for training purposes by numerous ice hockey associations. In summer the area inside the oval is used, above all, for inline hockey. The outdoor rink area has served many times as a location for spectacular open air concerts (Pink, One Republic, Paolo Nutini and David Guetta, drive-in cinema among many others).
