PROCUREMENT & WASTE MANAGEMENT

Celebrate green, keep it clean.

When purchasing products and services, we consider not only economic factors but also ecological and social aspects. Whether it concerns long-term investments or everyday consumables – we focus on products that are environmentally friendly and socially responsible. At the same time, we separate waste and continuously work on reducing it wherever possible. Mandatory reusable and deposit cup systems at all events are one of many steps towards becoming a more waste-free event venue.

Measures in the area of procurement & waste management:

  • Integration of the NABE criteria” into purchasing and tendering processes
  • Evaluation of rental equipment as an alternative before every new purchase
  • Optimising demand planning for perishable goods, mostly food
  • Reduction of waste through alternative communication channels for in-house events (e.g. online and social media advertising instead of printed materials)
  • Waste separation stations in all public areas
  • Optimising waste management (additional containers, colour-coded waste bags, training for cleaning staff and event organizers)
  • Reusable cup systems at all events
  • Conversion to beverage dispensing systems at kiosks
→ Saving approximately 50,000 PET bottles per year (≙ 1.5 tonnes of plastic)
