Social Responsibility

Accessibility means more to us than simply meeting structural requirements as an event centre. It also means removing organisational barriers for people with disabilities and ensuring that everyone feels welcome at our events. Through socially responsible partnerships with organisations and institutions that support minorities and people in need, we aim to fulfil our responsibility towards society. We continuously strive to address all people equally and provide everyone with an unforgettable experience at Olympiaworld.

Measures in the area of social responsibility:

• Accessibility assessment including implementation of follow-up measures
• Structural accessibility at all event venues (except Olympia Eiskanal)
• Visitor service with a dedicated contact person for people with special needs
• Accessible website with easy-to-read information, contrast options, zoom functions and image descriptions for screen reader programmes
• Inclusive language across all online and social media channels, press releases, displayed and publicly available documents
• Cooperation with non-profit organisations for events supporting socially disadvantaged groups
• Cooperation with Lebenshilfe for job advertisements
• Family-friendly offers at in-house events
• Continuous improvement of structural accessibility

STRUCTURAL ACCESSIBILITY

The Olympiahalle Innsbruck, TIWAG Arena and Tivoli Stadium Tirol are accessible venues. For visitors arriving by car, a total of 30 accessible parking spaces are available in front of Parkplatz West, near Tivoli Stadium Tirol and in the Tivoli underground car park. The bus stop “Olympiaworld” is located on the northern side of the Olympiaworld premises (approx. 150 m from the main entrance of Olympiahalle). The bus stop “Tivoli Stadion” is located on the eastern side (approx. 280 m from the main entrance of Olympiahalle). A tactile guidance system leads from the “Olympiaworld” bus stop to the ticket office, the reception desk and the ticket counters at the main entrance.

ACCESSIBILITY AT OUR VENUES

Our venues provide sufficient seating areas for wheelchair users and visitors with reduced mobility. These spaces are accessible either at ground level or via lift. Accessible toilets are located in close proximity to the wheelchair seating areas.

The following number of wheelchair spaces is available:

• Olympiahalle: 40 wheelchair spaces, North Stand (Sections 14/15)
  Access via the main entrance/reception desk
• TIWAG Arena: 8 wheelchair spaces, East Stand (Sections 5/7)
  Access via the main entrance/reception desk
• Tivoli Stadium Tirol: 50 wheelchair spaces, East Stand (Sections 2–6)
  Access via the central entrance/East Stand
